Mendell Beckford was born and raised on the island of Jamaica. He migrated to the states at the age of 22, and decided to pursue music as a career. Since then he has shared the stage with a wide range of artists such as Mary Mary, Byron Cage, Chrisette Michelle, CeCe Winans, Anthony Hamilton, Lupe Fiasco, Estelle, and has accompanied Donnie Mc Clurkin, Take 6, Grammy Award winning writer/composer/director Willetta Green-Johnson,gospel legend Mrs. Inez Andrews, Muntu Dance Theater of Chicago, Tripping Billies(Dave Matthews Tribute Band), as well as rising star Melody Angel(from P Diddy's Making the Band) .
